Biography

Lina Benna is a Communications Fellow at the MEA Institute, a role she has held since October 2025. She first discovered the Institute while attending its launch conference at the Sorbonne in February 2025, where she was immediately drawn to its mission of amplifying youth voices in discussions surrounding the Middle East and Africa.

She is currently a law student based in Paris, and brings a perspective shaped by her Tunisian background and the significant time she has spent living between North Africa and the Middle East. This experience has given her a nuanced understanding of the region, rooted not only in its political and social dynamics, but also in the human realities and cultural richness that define it. Within the MEA Institute, she contributes to the development of communication strategies, with a particular focus on content structuring, editorial direction, and narrative development.

She has a strong interest in geopolitical, humanitarian, and social issues, and approaches communication with particular attention to how stories are framed, conveyed, and understood. Her interest in photography and video reflects a broader commitment to capturing moments and perspectives that highlight diverse voices, with the aim of making complex topics more accessible through clear and meaningful storytelling.
Through her work, she aims to promote a more inclusive and nuanced understanding of the region, while encouraging youth engagement in global conversations.
