Biography

Nurah holds a BS in Diplomacy and International Relations (summa cum laude) from Seton Hall University. She has experience in Jordanian politics having interned at the Jordan Embassy in Washington D.C and the Permanent Mission of Jordan to the United Nations. She is a staff writer at NYU’s student-led Journal of Political Inquiry. Her master’s thesis traces the influence of nineteenth-century ‘biblical orientalist’ conceptions of Palestine as the Holy Land and mainstream liberal Christian Zionism in the 1940s on the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP)’s recommendation to partition Palestine in 1947.
