Norma Lorenzo is a Research Associate covering the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at MEA, where she focuses on conflict dynamics, political violence, and regional security developments. Her work examines patterns of instability, armed conflict, and security trends across the Middle East, with particular attention to the evolving geopolitical and governance factors shaping conflict environments.
Her research interests include conflict analysis, security policy, and peacebuilding, with a focus on understanding the drivers of instability and the challenges of sustainable peace in complex conflict settings. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and has completed complementary studies in Intelligence Analysis and Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT), with an interest in the use of open-source information and data-driven approaches for conflict monitoring and security analysis.
