Biography

Michaela Papavero holds a Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from John Cabot University. She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Mediterranean Cooperation and Security, specialising in the political and security dynamics of the broader Mediterranean region, spanning Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Red Sea.

Her research focuses on migration, humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, energy policy, and the impact of climate change on human security. She has experience working with non-governmental organisations addressing community marginalisation and poverty while promoting individual empowerment and inclusive local development. She is particularly interested in the intersection of governance, security, and sustainable development, and in advancing policy solutions to complex regional and global challenges.
