Ali Anwar

Biography

Ali is a non-executive director at the MEA Institute for Strategic Studies and an advisor to the leadership team. He has served as the director for operations and communications at the Institute. HE also works as an independent sustainability and ESG specialist. Ali has a BA in Management Information Systems (MIS) and an MBA both from Ozyegin University.

Prior to joining the institute, Ali was a senior consultant at Deloitte. He has delivered strategic advisory services across financial services, energy, and manufacturing sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa and led over 50 projects. These include strategy and policy development, risk assessment, sustainability and ESG integration, data privacy, governance framework, awareness and capacity building, stakeholder engagement and management, sustainability reporting, and research. Ali also has experience in Telecommunications and Information Technology sectors.
