Department: Communications  |  Working Group: Content Production  |  Position Type: Volunteer (Unpaid)  |  Time Commitment: 6–10 hours/week  |  Location: Remote

The MEA Institute for Strategic Studies is seeking a Podcast & Audio Producer to edit and produce audio content for Axis and Arch, the Institute’s flagship podcast series. The role covers the full production workflow: audio cleanup, mixing, episode publishing, and support for voice-over content. The successful candidate will take ownership of audio quality and publishing consistency across the series.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce episodes of Axis and Arch from raw recordings to publication-ready files.
  • Perform audio cleanup, noise reduction, mixing, and mastering for each episode.
  • Manage the publishing workflow across Spotify for Podcasters and any additional distribution platforms.
  • Support voice-over production and audio content for social media and video outputs.
  • Maintain consistent audio quality and episode formatting across the series.

Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Audition, Riverside, or equivalent DAW.
  • Familiarity with Spotify for Podcasters or Anchor publishing workflows.
  • Experience editing long-form interview or conversational audio is preferred.
  • Understanding of RSS feed management and podcast metadata is an asset.
  • Audio samples or links to produced episodes are strongly encouraged.

Language Requirements

English fluency required. French and Arabic are considered strong assets.
