Analytics Officer
Job Description
Department: Communications | Working Group: Community & Outreach | Position Type: Volunteer (Unpaid) | Time Commitment: 5–8 hours/week | Location: Remote
The MEA Institute for Strategic Studies is seeking an Analytics Officer to track, analyse, and report on the performance and reach of the Institute’s digital communications. The role produces monthly analytics reports and supports strategy development with data-driven insights, helping the Communications team understand what is working and where to focus its efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Track performance, engagement, and reach across the Institute’s digital platforms, including the website, social channels, and email.
- Produce a clear, actionable monthly analytics report for the Communications leadership team.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve content performance and audience growth.
- Support the development of the communications strategy with data insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and report on website traffic using Google Analytics or equivalent.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to synthesise data from multiple sources into a clear, non-technical monthly report.
- SEO knowledge and experience with Google Search Console is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Experience in a communications, digital marketing, or research analytics role is an asset.
Language Requirements
English fluency required. French and Arabic are considered strong assets.
