Şerif Sav

Biography

Şerif Sav is an Istanbul-born Turkish student and senior undergraduate at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where he studies International Relations and Psychology with a minor in Slavic and Eastern European Studies. He is currently a Research Associate at the MEA Institute for Strategic Studies, where he contributes to research on international security, geopolitics, and regional affairs. His academic and policy interests focus on Eurasia, NATO, European security, the Balkans, and post-Soviet politics. 
 
In addition to his research work, Şerif is a NATO Field School alumnus and a former water polo player. At UBC, he has taken on a range of student leadership, research, and community-building roles across diplomacy, security, entrepreneurship, and multicultural engagement. He has lived in several countries, including Türkiye, Serbia and Ukraine.
