Biography
Genevieve is a South African political analyst specialising in Middle Eastern and African affairs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology, with a minor in Political Sociology, an Honours degree in Political Science, and a Master’s degree in Political Sciences from Stellenbosch University, South Africa (2025).
Her career at MEA spans several leadership roles: beginning as a Junior Analyst in the Integrated Intelligence Program, she advanced to Director of the program and subsequently Director of the Intelligence Desk before assuming a position on the Executive Board – a trajectory shaped by deep institutional commitment and alignment with MEA’s mission and vision.
Currently working as a threat intelligence analyst in the corporate security and risk management sector, Genevieve brings expertise across protection intelligence, threat awareness, OSINT, cybersecurity, geopolitical analysis, crisis and escalation assessment, and South African domestic and Africa-focused foreign policy.
Her research interests include conflict dynamics, gender and minority rights, terrorism and extremism, and the role of online radicalisation.
In an era of hyper-specialisation, Genevieve identifies as a globalist – maintaining a real-time pulse on current affairs and emerging discourse across regions and domains.
